Messaging and social platforms are part of everyday communication in Pakistan, but they do not all fail in the same way. A text chat may continue while calls, media uploads, or notifications stall. A social feed can fail to refresh even though its login page loads. This directory includes the major networks and messaging tools people check when a conversation, post, or video stops working.
A gray or unclassified label means there is not enough recent independent evidence. It does not mean the service is working or down.
When a social app misbehaves, identify the specific feature first. Test sending and receiving separately, compare the mobile app with its website, and note whether media or text is affected. If a single account has trouble, an account-level setting or restriction may be involved. If multiple people on different networks report the same symptom, a broader platform problem becomes more plausible.
When you open a service page, look for the time of the latest measurement, the kind of check recorded, and whether any incident has actually been recorded. A single failed request can be useful context, but it is not a reliable diagnosis on its own. A problem limited to one account or device often needs the provider's official help rather than a platform-wide classification.
A public endpoint check only tells us that a reachable part of the service responded from the monitoring location. We use available Pakistan-based measurements to add local context and require corroboration for broad claims. These platforms often have several back-end systems, so a partial disruption may not look like a complete outage.
AppsDetector.online keeps technical observations separate from interpretation. The monitoring worker runs independently of page visits and stores checks over time. Where configured, Pakistan probes, international probes, and provider feeds provide different perspectives. If a source is unavailable or too sparse, the page says so. We do not fill gaps with an assumed operational state or an invented outage.
Historical charts are built only from recorded measurements . New services may not have enough history for a 7-day, 30-day, or 90-day trend. The methodology page explains the thresholds and retention policy in more detail.
Local access can differ from international access because providers, routes, DNS resolvers, and regional infrastructure vary. A service may fail on one Pakistani ISP but work on another. Conversely, an international platform event may affect many locations at once. We use labels such as Pakistan-specific or network-specific only when multiple relevant signals agree. One VPS cannot support that conclusion by itself.
If your experience conflicts with the current page, check another connection and consult the provider’s official status or support channels. For private transactions, account access, or government applications, contact the provider through its official channels.
Read the monitoring methodology →A messaging outage is often narrower than an app outage. Messages may send while media uploads queue, or calls may fail while chats continue. For WhatsApp, compare sending, receiving, voice calls, video calls, and WhatsApp Web. For Facebook or Instagram, separate feed loading from login, comments, images, and Messenger. Record which feature failed and when; that detail helps distinguish a platform component from a weak connection or an account issue.
Pakistan users may move between mobile data and home broadband during the same incident. If an app works on one connection but fails on another, keep both observations. A DNS resolver, route, or provider network can affect access without the platform being unavailable everywhere. Likewise, a successful test from another country does not prove that Pakistani users can connect. We wait for enough local measurements before using a countrywide label.
Some problems need the provider's own help. An account restriction, a disabled notification permission, a single blocked conversation, or a forgotten password will not be confirmed by public checks. Keep private messages, phone numbers, recovery codes, and credentials private. Contact the provider for account-specific help. The individual service page shows current evidence, its age, and any incident we have actually recorded.
For a useful comparison, open the affected app's status page and one closely related service. If WhatsApp messages fail while Telegram works, the difference may narrow the issue, but it still cannot identify the cause by itself. Compare the same feature at roughly the same time. Delayed screenshots and reports from other countries can describe a different event. The page's check time, source labels, and recent incident timeline matter more than a bare down vote. If a service recovers, allow a few minutes for fresh checks and reports to reflect the change.
A message that stays pending can reflect the sender's connection, the recipient's connection, or the platform's delivery system. If a social feed loads but direct messages do not, compare the two features separately. A delayed push notification is also different from a message that never arrived. These distinctions make reports more useful and prevent one symptom from being mistaken for a complete outage.
During a suspected interruption, note the approximate start time and whether the issue appears on mobile data, home broadband, or both. Ask another person to test the same feature without sharing private conversation details. Public checks may keep succeeding while an authenticated feature fails, so the category directory is a starting point; each service page explains its own evidence and limits.
